We talk with Brian Purcell and Joran Van Ginderachter of Three Taverns Craft Brewery. Decatur’s Three Taverns is turning 3 this year, and this Saturday they’re throwing a party to celebrate. We chat about the beer scene in Georgia and Decatur, their passion for Belgian styles, and new surprises in the works. Joran tells us about capturing the wild yeast they use for Inceptus, and what brought him from Belgium to America to brew. Three Taverns brought some of their ‘3’ for us to sample, their third anniversary ale – a wine barrel aged Belgian Tripel – that they’ll debut at the brewery for their party. We also got a sneak peek at Inceptus 2016, which is almost ready for release. Listen in to hear more as well as a few other cool things they’re working on.
