Crafting a Culture
Crafting a Culture explores the growing beer community in Atlanta, GA.

Kennesaw State University student chooses craft beer focus for senior project

Kyle Thomas is a senior at Kennesaw State University and a craft beer enthusiast.  As his senior project he chose to film a documentary on the growing craft beer culture in Atlanta.  Kyle says he chose beer as his subject because, “…it is one thing that I’m highly passionate about.”

In addition to being a passionate fan, Kyle also works in the industry, currently at Barrel & Barley craft beer market in downtown Woodstock.  He continues, “Beer helped me get through these college years so why not finish it out (with) a project about beer!”  When asked what he learned from the experience Kyle says, “Along the way, I’ve met several new people who work in the industry that are great, inspiring people with a common interest.  Making this film opened my eyes about how close our beer community really is. My hope is that the Atlanta beer culture continues to grow and that among other fun things to do in Atlanta it’ll will become one of those go-to cities for some of the best beer you can find.”
