Beer Guys Radio expands to Alabama, adds affiliates in Huntsville and Decatur
The Beer Guys Radio show is growing! We’re extremely excited to announce that beginning May 7, 2016 we will add 92.9 FM / 1450 AM (WTKI) in Huntsville, Alabama and 94.7 FM / 1490 AM (WEKI) in Decatur, Alabama to our affiliate roster. The show will air on both stations Saturdays at 1:00 PM Central time. Our current stations include Atlanta’s AM 920 The Answer (our home station) and Biz 1190 AM.
For our official Alabama launch we’re taping a show at Huntsville’s Straight to Ale brewery on May 14th at 1PM Central time. Everyone is invited to join us for the taping, it’s a perfect pre-game opportunity before the 4-8PM Saturday session of Rocket City Brewfest. The show will air the following Saturday, May 21st at 1PM Eastern on AM 920 Atlanta and 1 PM Central on WEKI and WTKI in Alabama, as well as 6AM Sunday on Biz 1190 Atlanta.
The addition of Alabama coverage will allow us to share our love of Georgia beer with our neighbors as well as sharing awesome Alabama beer information here in our home state of Georgia. You know Aaron and I love to #DrinkLocal, but we love a good weekend beer trip, too. We plan to add additional stations across Alabama and Georgia over the next year, with future plans to expand Beer Guys Radio throughout the Southeastern US, at a pace that makes sense and allows us to maintain the integrity of the show.
Again, we’re super-excited about coming to Alabama, it just… feels so right. Aaron has been running around the studio singing and dancing all day, I think he’s starting to get tired, finally.
