This Week on Beer Guys Radio
We move to the hard stuff, whiskey and rum! Independent Distilling Company‘s Michael Anderson joins us in the studio and Richland Rum‘s Erik Vonk joins us via phone. We may be the beer guys, but we can appreciate the harder stuff as well, especially when those barrels are used to age BEER! We talk about the art of distilling, the importance of terroir in distilled spirits, and of course aging beer in spirit barrels. Michael brought us a bottle of his Outlier #1 to sample, distilled from an unhopped Scotch Ale mash from Blue Tarp Brewing and we thoroughly enjoyed its unique, spicy, and smooth character.
Next week we’re back to beer with Gate City Brewing. The good folks from Gate City will join us in the studio to chat about their beer and brewery in Roswell, GA.
