Burnt Hickory and Beer Guys Radio Cask Collaboration Competition
Help us choose our special cask for Burnt Hickory’s 7th Anniversary party and win some cool prizes
Burnt Hickory Brewery is celebrating their 7th Anniversary on June 1, 2019, and they invited us to make a collaboration cask. After plying us with a few Charred Walls (BHB’s Belgian quad), Burnt Hickory founder & brewmaster Scott Hedeen asked if we wanted to let our readers/listeners decide what to do. We think that’s a great idea.
Read below for details on how to enter. The winning cask will be selected by the highly judgmental folks here at Beer Guys Radio and Burnt Hickory Brewery. If your suggestion is selected you’ll win a swag pack including a Beer Guys Radio shirt and hat, Burnt Hickory Brewery shirt and glassware, plus a bottle of Bourbon Barrel-aged Kolb’s Farm (A coffee, honey, and oatmeal Imperial Stout) being released at the event. Plus, 2x VIP PASSES at the BHB anniversary party where you’ll get the honor of tapping the cask and getting the first pour of your creation.

The Rules
- Open to all US residents 21 and older
- You may enter ONE suggestion PER BASE BEER
- Entries close at 5:00 PM Eastern on Friday, May 24, 2019
- You must attend the Burnt Hickory anniversary on June 1, 2019, to tap and drink the cask
- You must collect your bottle of BBA Kolb’s Farm in person at Burnt Hickory Brewery during normal business hours
- If you are not able to attend the anniversary event, we will ship the non-beer swag to the winner

Big Shanty w/ cocoa nibs, raspberry purée, and vanilla bean.
It’s summer, it’s going to be hot, so why don’t we switch up the old-fashioned POG and make it a pineapple, Didjits, guava beer with a little lactose and vanilla flavoring to be like a milkshake for a hot summer day!
DIDJITS with Calabrian peppers (what Antico has – or just jalapeno/habanero/etc) and extra Orange peels – the PF Chang’s spicy Orange Peel Chicken of beers, like Didjits mixed with Spanish Bombs.
SHANTY with peaches, vanilla and cinnamon – peach cobbler Shanty. They already make the closest possible thing to a Varsity Orange as a beer (Killboy), so I’m sure they’d nail this too.
Big Shanty with Marshmallow, Chocolate, and Toasted Coconut
Anacondas: Hunt for the Blood Orchid Didjits – Hibiscus, lemongrass, chili peppers
Banana Split Big Shanty: Caramelized bananas, cherries, and vanilla beans
