This week we chat with the folks at Akademia Brewing Co. live from a very loud Classic City Brew Fest in Athens, GA. We talk about brewing in and for a college town, Friday the 13th, and their barrel-aging program. Plus, we’ll announce the winner of the Woodlands Circle membership
Next week we’ll be joined by Hop City’s own Kraig Torres to talk about Belgian Beers. “Back in the day” supplies of local craft beer were limited, and beer geeks drank a ton of Belgian beers. It seems a lot of those classic brews take a back seat to American craft beer now that we have a lot more options in both brands and styles. We’ll talk with Kraig about classic Belgian beers, American brewers making Belgian beers, and why the hype has died down a bit for these amazing brews.
