This Week in Georgia Beer | May 6-12, 2016
This Week on Beer Guys Radio
We’re joined in studio by the folks from Urban Tree Cidery and Hopspot Beer Tours of Atlanta. This week I learned there are alcoholic beverages other than beer, I had no idea. Tim and Maria Resuta stop by to educate us about their awesome cider from Atlanta’s first cidery, Urban Tree. We chat about the cider making process as well as the similarities and differences to brewing beer. They brought along a few of their ciders to share while we talked about their tasting room, and we enjoyed them all. The conversation moves to what the Georgia farm winery exemption means for their business and they share a little bit about what’s coming up for them.
Jason Jones from Hopspot Beer Tours of Atlanta (one of our great sponsors) chats with us about his company and what sets him apart from other beer tours in the area. He also brought some beers to share that we can’t get in Georgia. Hopspot’s first tour is coming up on May 14th and they’ve got a great lineup planned. You can get your tickets here, and remember to use code BEERGUYS10 and get 10% off your tour.
