This Week in Georgia Beer | April 29 – May 5, 2016
This Week on Beer Guys Radio
We talk with Red Brick Brewing Co. Red Brick is Atlanta’s oldest continuously operating brewery and started its life in 1993 as the Atlanta Brewing Company. Garrett Lockhart (President/Brewmaster) and Steve Anderson (Head Brewer) join us in studio to talk about the Red Brick of today, changes they’ve seen and helped make, and what we can expect to see from them in the future. They brought our Truck & Tap Beers of the Week; a bottle of their first barrel-aged sour offering, Solera Project #1, and a vintage 2014 Beard Envy barleywine. We chat more with Garrett and Steve about their philosophies on beer and brewing and Garrett shares a personal issue that inspired a beer name.
Listen to Beer Guys Radio live at 1:00 PM Saturday on AM 920, or for you early-risers catch us Sunday at 6:00 AM on Biz 1190. If you’re outside the Atlanta area you can stream the show via our website, iHeartRadio, or TuneIn. Can’t catch the live show? That’s cool, we’ve got you covered. All past shows are available on-demand on our site, Soundcloud, or your favorite podcasting app.
ALABAMA HERE WE COME!
Starting Saturday, May 7th we’re expanding our coverage to Alabama with the addition of affiliates in Huntsville and Decatur. If you’re in ‘Bama you can catch the show Saturdays at 1:00 PM Central time on 92.9 FM / 1450 AM (WTKI) in Huntsville and 94.7 FM / 1490 AM (WEKI) in Decatur. Check out the pic below for info on our Alabama launch party on May 14th. This Week in Georgia Beer won’t change, we’ll still focus on providing you the scoop on what’s going on in the Peach State, but we’ll be adding This Week in Alabama Beer as another newsletter in the near future.
