This Week in Georgia Beer | April 15-21, 2016
This Week on Beer Guys Radio
Evan Scanlan from Newnan, GA’s Abide Brewing Company joins us in the studio. Fresh on the heels of Abide’s 1 year anniversary we talk with Evan about starting a brewery in a town with very few “beer geeks” and introducing the community to craft beer, as well as the challenges of opening a brewery in a dry county. Evan brought a couple of beers to share with us and we enjoyed both the Coweta Common (an American Blonde) and their Local Pale Ale, two very tasty beers. We also chat about balancing the brewery’s needs while continuing to work a full-time job. The discussion moves on to future plans for Abide and we had to ask about the origin of the brewery’s name.
Listen to Beer Guys Radio live at 1:00 PM Saturday on AM 920, or for you early-risers catch us Sunday at 6:00 AM on Biz 1190. If you’re outside the Atlanta area you can stream the show via our website, iHeartRadio, or TuneIn. Can’t catch the live show? That’s cool, we’ve got you covered. All past shows are available on-demand on our site, Soundcloud, or your favorite podcasting app.
