So….the beer bill “compromise” happened.

Because it was the big news of the day, we talked about the ramifications of the “compromise” and what it means going forward. Despite what some in the news media say, the “compromise” was anything but. Which means many people are understandably upset, including us. Be sure to listen to our takes on this matter.

Beer Bill “compromise?” Not exactly.

Unfortunately, that means we will continue this topic in the upcoming weeks.

On more fun topics, we were able to talk sour beers with Orpheus Brewing President and Brewmaster Jason Pellett. We talked about Orpheus’ extensive sour and barrel aged program, Jason’s love for jazz music and tattoos, as well as their one millionth can sold.

On the sour beer topic we’ll also share a segment we recorded earlier this year with Blake Tyers from Creature Comforts.

We also announced our latest contest. Thanks to our sponsors, ATL Brew Box, we are giving away one of their boxes each week. Simple to enter! Just sign up for our newsletter (below). We’ll pick a winner later this week.

Truck and Tap‘s Beer(s) of the week were plentiful. Aaron chose Atalanta, a tart plum saison from Orpheus. Tim brought in Creature Comforts’ Brettomatic, and Jason gave us a sneak preview of And The Furies Wept.

Next week, we’ll talk brewpubs. Broadcasting from 5 Seasons Westside, we’ll have Crawford Moran as well as Max Lager’s John “JR” Roberts. Should be another great one!

Thanks for listening. We’ll be on the socials all week long, and please subscribe to our on-demand show wherever you get your podcasts. And while you’re there, please leave a review. It’s a big help!

Remember to sign up for our newsletter to get This Week in Georgia Beer in your inbox – and be entered in the ATL Brew Box giveaway!
