Episode 2 – The State of Brewing 2016
With the legislative session kicking off next week, we talked to Nancy Palmer, Executive Director of the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild. She discussed the challenges facing the small brewing industry, and what can be done to level the playing field for these small businesses.
We also talked to Matt Leff from Nuit Belge. The January 23rd event features Belgian beers and some great restaurants. If you want tickets, click on the link above or right here. Use discount code “BGR” for $30 off!
Truck and Tap’s beers of the week?
Aaron chose Southbound Brewing’s Moonlight Drive.
Tim went all out. In honor of Nancy’s appearance on the show, he broke out a 2014 Burnt Hickory Killdozer that he acquired at Burnt Hickory’s midnight release on July 1 when SB63 went live. Producer Marquis (who, prior to starting on working this show, was strictly a macro drinker) flipped out over it. As did the both of us.
Also, news and notes from around Georgia’s beer scene.
