This Week on Beer Guys Radio
We chat with Taylor Lamm of Oconee Brewing Co. Oconee is a brewery under construction in Greensboro, GA near (surprise) Lake Oconee, once open their brewery will fill in another gap on the Georgia brewery map. Taylor talks with us about his brewing background, and the path he took to get there, as well as the brews we’re likely to see from Oconee. He shares some thoughts on the craft beer scene in the area and what they hope to bring to the community. Taylor brought a few of their pilot batches for us to sample, and we enjoyed all of them. Oconee Brewing’s website is under construction right now but you can stay up-to-date with them on their Facebook page. We’ll also include an interview Aaron did with Jeremy Cowan from New York’s Shmaltz Brewing, and we’ll talk with Nick Hudson of Alabama’s Free the Hops about an insane new rule being proposed by regulators.
Next week we’re talking with Marietta’s Red Hare. Roger Davis and Bobby Thomas will join us in the studio to chat about one of Georgia’s fastest growing breweries and of course we’ll get the scoop on what’s in store for the future.
