SweetWater’s Nick Nock joined us in studio this weekend.

As the first employeer (or third, depending on who’s counting), Nock has seen SweetWater grow into the major player it currently is.

We talk about the rise of the south’s largest craft brewer, and how the iconic 420 Pale Ale came into being. Also, we’ll talk IPAs, and how they started using the hop “hash” in some of their creations.

Comedian/Podcaster Adam Carolla talks to us about Endless Rant IPA

We’ll also talk to comedian, podcaster, author and TV star Adam Carolla. You may know that he sells an amped-up version of Sangria (Mangria). But he’s also a craft beer fan, so when California’s King Harbor Brewing Company approached him about a collaboration, he jumped. We’ll talk about how he got into craft beer, and the possibility of a passionfruit-infused beer coming up next.

Order Endless Rant IPA here.

Truck and Tap‘s Beers of the Week were SweetWater’s Goin’Coastal IPA with pineapple. Also, Tim brought in a growler of Don’s Bella Donna, a collaboration Nick made with fellow Salisbury, Maryland-turned-metro-Atlanta-area-brewer Scott Hedeen of Burnt Hickory Brewery for the Depot Park Beer Festival.

Also, Nick shares exactly what Don’s Bella Donna was and the inspiration behind the beer.

Next week? We’re headed to Alabama, talking to Straight To Ale in Huntsville.
