Brewery Employee Satisfaction Report 2022 | Ep. 324
From brewer to beertender, how satisfied are brewery employees with their jobs?
“I want to be a brewer.” Every homebrewer has had the thought cross their mind. But, once you land that dream job at a brewery, will you be happy? Like any job, there are many factors to consider. Pay, benefits, management, training, etc. It may be a “cool” job but working in a brewery is still a job.
Andrew Coplon from Craft Beer Professionals and Michael Varda from Craft Beer Advisory Services surveyed employees at 217 breweries across front of house, operations (brewers!), business, and ownership to see what people had to say. Every job and company is different and the survey presented some interesting results.
Coplon and Varda share the methodology and findings from the report as we discuss some interesting information and some of the factors that may contribute to these findings. Click the link to request a copy of the full 2022 Employee Satisfaction Report.
About Craft Beer Professionals and Craft Beer Advisory Services
Craft Beer Professionals launched in 2017 simply as a Facebook group bringing together those working in the industry throughout the United States. Though craft beer is a highly collaborative industry, few opportunities existed for peer sharing and learning. In the three years that followed, CBP grew from a community forum into a rich educational resource serving the entirety of the craft beer community including the myriad of positions within a brewery and the support industries such as ingredient suppliers, equipment manufacturers and professional services. With an engaged online audience, CBP evolved to develop original and critical content to help the industry grow. Through virtual conferences, podcasts, videos and more, CBP has positioned itself as an industry leader while keeping resources 100% accessible to all at no cost. In 2021, CBP further expanded its offering to in-person opportunities for sharing and learning through CBP Connects, a unique series of intimate workshops. CBP Connects is designed for the industry decision maker and provides an experience focused on both personal and professional growth.
Craft Beer Advisory Services is a full-service market research firm exclusively dedicated to the craft beer industry. They provide custom insight on beer drinker behavior and tell you why customers come and what makes them stay, or what makes them go somewhere else. Their research is customizable to dial in to the specific challenges your brewery is facing.
