Palmetto Brewing and Catawba Brewing | Billy Pyatt is the founder of Catawba Brewing and the owner of Palmetto Brewing.  Palmetto was the first brewery to open in South Carolina after Prohibition and the current brewery has recently celebrated their 25th anniversary.  We talk with Billy about Palmetto’s current rebrand, what’s good in Charleston, and a few of their new beers.  With the recent news of Boston Beer and Dogfish Head merging we also get Billy’s take on the pros and cons of merging two breweries.

Next week: Green Man Brewing | Green Man’s Kyle McKenzie and Geoffrey Ebner were in Atlanta recently for a few events and stopped by the Beer Guys studio for some beer chat.  We talk about the growth of Green Man and the Asheville beer scene, lagers, brewing with the best ingredients, and whether or not it’s a good idea to take life advice from brewers.
