First Look: Terrapin BrewLab at the Battery
After nearly five years, millions of dollars in construction, and no shortage of controversy, the Atlanta Braves will have a new home in Cobb County starting this season.
As part of the complex, the Battery will feature stores and restaurants that will remain open all year long. One of the anchor spaces of the Battery belongs to Terrapin Beer Company.
The Terrapin Brew Lab is a 5 barrel brewhouse, something that Terrapin has never had. This, according to brewmaster “Spike” Buckowski, will allow them to have a true pilot beer system. “This place is fantastic,” Buckowski said. “We are excited to have a second location year round. We’ll be able to use unique ingredients, involve local chefs. The sky’s the limit.”
Plans are to have three unique beers on tap that will rotate seasonally. Buckowski says the first batches will be a tropical India Pale Ale, a wheat ale and a brown all. All of them will clock in around 5-6% ABV. Terrapin’s regular beers will also be available. Barbecue food will be provided by Atlanta’s Fox Brothers.
You will be able to enter the BrewLab from both outside and inside SunTrust Park, so no tickets are needed.
The Terrapin BrewLab is set to open by April 14th, opening day for the Braves. It’s located by the ChopHouse gate.
