Beer to-go now legal at Alabama breweries

It’s happening, Alabama, are you ready?  Today is the day that HB176 goes into effect, allowing to-go beer sales at breweries of up to 288 oz., or a case of 12 oz. cans/bottles.  Gov. Bentley signed the bill into law on March 24th and breweries across the state have been getting ready for this day by purchasing crowler machines or getting growlers ready to fill.  Here are a few of the events taking place to celebrate this glorious occasion:

Wednesday | June 1st

  • Back Forty Beer Co. | Midnight growler release and toast the sales during regular hours
  • Fairhope Brewing Co. – Midnight crowler release then sales during regular hours
  • Folklore Brewing & Meadery | Midnight release and growler release party from 4-11PM
  • Rocket Republic | Crowlers of almost all beers will be available to-go as well as some six packs, opening at 3PM
  • Salty Nut Brewery | Unimpeachable Pale Ale release as well as full line-up of other beers available in crowlers, opening early at 11AM
