LaGrange brewery plans 2018 brewhouse expansion and increased production

The team behind Wild Leap built their brewery with the intentions of scaling up quickly.  However, “The response has even exceeded even our expectations,” says co-founder Rob Goldstein.  ““Our goal has always been to create a highly drinkable, great tasting craft beer. We’re thrilled that the market has embraced our philosophy.”  They seem to have hit their goal, as customers are drinking their beer as fast as they can brew it and the brewery recently passed 1,000 barrels in production.  The final target for 2017 is 1,300 barrels.

With an aggressive social media campaign and launch events across the state, Wild Leap made sure people knew they were here. Their draft offerings are available from North Georgia south to Columbus, and as far west as Auburn, Alabama.  After an initial launch of Local Gold and Chance IPA in cans at the brewery, they are now available at retailers in their home territory.

Looking ahead to 2018 co-founder Anthony Rodriguez says, “We’re already deep in the planning stages of a brewhouse expansion to help keep up with demand.  2017 was a crazy year for us. But I know I speak for the whole team when I say we feel blessed that we get to do what we do,” he added.  With the expansion, Wild Leap anticipates they will pass 4,000 barrels production next year.

“There is no finish line for us,” said head brewer Chris Elliott. “This is one of many milestones yet to come. We have an Oatmeal Chocolate Stout that we release this month, and a whole slate of new beers coming next year including two IPAs that we think our fans are going to love.”
