Brewery Workshop

Georgia Craft Brewers Guild partners with local business for Dreamer’s Workshop

Those planning (or dreaming) of starting a brewery are invited to attend the FREE Dreamer’s Workshop hosted by the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild in association with Porter Keadle Moore and other local businesses and brewery owners.
The workshop covers all about what it takes to start a brewery/brewpub from the ground up, as well as the practical steps that “dreamers” need to consider along the way. It’ll feature a panel with accounting, legal, and investment banking experts as well as a brewer’s panel with owners from some of the most successful craft breweries in Georgia (Creature Comforts, Monday Night Brewing, and others).  Attendees will not only get a chance to hear their stories but to ask any questions they have relating to starting their own brewery/brew pub. Nancy Palmer will also be opening up the event with an update on the SB 85 legislation and what this means for the future of the craft brewing industry in our state.

The event will be hosted at Eventide Brewing on March 6th from 3:30 – 7:00 PM.  It’s free to attend but does require advance registration.

Our seasoned panelists will discuss many of the topics that have proven most difficult to dreamers wanting to start their own brewery, including:

  • Importance and timing of engaging a CPA, Attorney, and Banker
  • Navigating pros/cons of entity types (C Corp, S Corp, LLC, LLP, etc.)
