This Week on Beer Guys Radio

Georgia Beer

We’re on location at Your Pie Perimeter with Omaha Brewing Co.  Brewery founder Robert “Doc” Lee (yes, he’s related to Gen. Robert E. Lee) and Brewmaster Nick Fowler took a road trip to Atlanta to join us at Your Pie where they were featured for Pi(e)t Night.  We chat about what prompted Doc to start Omaha Brewing, when he originally wanted to start a winery.  We also talk about bringing craft beer to a small town in South Georgia and what a brewery means for the community as whole.  Nick talks to us about their brewing water and we get a bit geeky with some water chemistry talk and of course they share what’s on tap now and what we’ll see in the future.  Tim drinks a quart of milk stout and manages not to fall off his stool.

Next week we bring the one and only Scott Hedeen from Burnt Hickory Brewery to the Beer Guys studios.  Scott is always an entertaining guest we’re guaranteed not to have any dead air with him joining us.  He’ll share the changes at Burnt Hickory over the last few years and what’s coming up in 2017 for BHB.

Listen to Beer Guys Radio every Saturday in Atlanta at 1:00 PM Eastern on AM 920 or Sunday at 6:00 AM on Biz 1190.  If you’re in Alabama you can catch the show live at 1:00 PM Central on 92.9 FM / 1450 AM in Huntsville or 94.7 FM / 1490 AM in Decatur  We’re also streaming live on our website, iHeartRadio, or TuneIn.  Can’t catch the live show?  That’s cool, we’ve got you covered.  All past shows are available on-demand on our site or your favorite podcasting app.
