KENNESAW, GA — Dry County Brewing Company is ringing in 2017 by announcing the addition of Steve Anderson as Brewmaster.

Steve joins the Dry County team from Red Brick Brewing in Atlanta, where he has served on the brew team since 2012. As Head Brewer at Red Brick, Steve played a pivotal role in the successful repositioning of mainstay brands such as Hoplanta, and the development of some of the more critically acclaimed beers in Red Brick’s long history, including 20th Anniversary and Beard Envy Barleywine. Prior to his stint at Red Brick, Steve was a staple in the North Atlanta home brew scene, running a local home brew supply shop while honing his craft and preparing for the leap to professional brewing.

Dry County Co-Founder, Trey Sinclair, expressed his excitement around the new addition: “When our Brewmaster position opened up in November, we made a conscious decision to not just quickly fill the role with a capable brewer, but to use the opening as an opportunity to expand our management team and take our brewing talent to the next level. For anyone that knows Steve, it is obvious that we have done all that and more. Steve embodies the same dedication to quality and consistency that we demand at Dry County, and also brings exciting new ideas around innovation and portfolio development that I cannot wait to get into the hands of Georgia drinkers.”

As the newest member of the Dry County team, Steve is anxious to hit the ground running and plans to get new and exciting beers out to the public in early 2017. “I am very excited to join the Dry County family in my hometown of Kennesaw! Trey and the team have already set up a very solid base to build on, and throughout 2017 we will focus on putting out some great new beers and increasing the production of our current portfolio. Everything will be done with a quality first approach, and we will look to use creativity and innovation to put out some truly unique offerings.”
Dry County beers can currently be found on tap around the Metro Atlanta area, and brewery tours are offered Thursday through Saturday at the Dry County Brewery in Kennesaw.

This is an excellent move for Dry County.  Steve was an instrumental part of the team at Red Brick responsible for reformulation of core brands as well as creating new and amazing beers.  The team at Dry County are great bunch and I feel Steve will fit in very well with their group.  I’m excited to see what’s in store for them in 2017.
