This Week on Beer Guys Radio

Georgia Beer

We talk with Fannin Brewing Company!  Tucked on a hill in Blue Ridge, GA Fannin  brews beer inspired by owner Tom Fennel‘s many trips to Germany.  Tom chats with us about his early decision to start a winery and why he decided that was crazy talk and opened a brewery instead.  We discuss the brewing scene in Blue Ridge and what is customer base is like.  We also talk a bit about politics and how tom worked with is local Representative (Speaker of the House David Ralston) to help facilitate Georgia’s to-go law, and how more change is needed.  We also have a special guest this week in the studio with us, sports writer and host of the Beer It Is podcast, Nubyjas Wilborn.

Next week we’ll talk with Huntsville’s Mad Malts Brewing.  We met Mad Malts owner Chris Bramon at this year’s Great American Beer Festival and loved the passion and excitement he had for brewing.  We’ll chat with him about opening his brewery and what’s in store for the future.
