Red Brick is turning 23 and they want to party with you

Red Brick is Atlanta’s oldest continuously operating brewery.  They’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, both internally and externally.  It’s not always been an easy ride, but 23 years later they are holding strong, and making some damn good beer.

As the highlight of the celebration Red Brick brewed an American Wild Ale.  We asked Head Brewer Steve Anderson about the beer, here’s what he had to say:

After 23 years in the Georgia craft beer business, we are proud to announce our 23rd anniversary beer will be an American Wild Ale blended from some of our favorite oak barrels.  The beer delivers a great balance of sourness and funky flavors from the use of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, Pediococcus and a few other wild critters we cultured up.  Clocking in at 7.5% alc/vol, this golden-colored beauty will only be available at Red Brick Brewing Co. in 22oz bottles and will most likely sell out during the anniversary party.  We will also have a great beer lineup out of our cellar, and some fun collaboration beers for everyone to try.  We hope to see you at the brewery on September 24th!

If the American Wild Ale isn’t enough to lure you in the rest of the beer list is outstanding as well.  We’re big fans of Red Brick here at Beer Guys Radio, you can check out my review of Hype Whale below, listen to Episode 18 of the show for our chat with Steve and President/Brewmaster Garrett Lockhart.
