This Week on Beer Guys Radio

Georgia BeerWe’re talking bottle shops!  We focus a lot on the folks making the beer we drink but there’s a very important side that we all love, but don’t talk about as much – our retailers.  This week Kraig Torres from Atlanta’s (and Birmingham’s!) Hop City Craft Beer & Wine joins us in the studio along with Joshua Doherty of Harry’s Farmers Market.  We talk about the trends that they see, and what they think the future holds, what they like about being on the retail side, Hop City’s upcoming restaurant/bar venture, and their thoughts on brewers’ desire to sell beer direct.  We’re also joined by “Catlanta”, an awesome local artist that incorporates craft beer into some of his work, make sure to check him out on Facebook / IG / Twitter.  We also have a quick interview with Dan Roberts, Executive Director of the Alabama Brewers Guild, with a little more info on pending regulation for our neighbors.

Next week we’re heading West to talk to Madison, Alabama’s Blue Pants Brewery.  Mike Spratley, owner and brewmaster at Blue Pants, will join us to chat about their beer and brewery – one of my personal favorites in AL.

Saturday in Atlanta at 1:00 PM Eastern on AM 920 or Sunday at 6:00 AM on Biz 1190.  If you’re in Alabama you can catch the show live at 1:00 PM Central on 92.9 FM / 1450 AM in Huntsville or 94.7 FM / 1490 AM in Decatur  We’re also streaming live on our website, iHeartRadio, or TuneIn.  Can’t catch the live show?  That’s cool, we’ve got you covered.  All past shows are available on-demand on our site or your favorite podcasting app.
