This Week on Beer Guys Radio

Georgia BeerGlenn Golden and Nick Bonetti from Hampton’s Jailhouse Brewing join us in the studio to chat about craft beer on Atlanta’s Southside.  Started in 2009, Jailhouse lands firmly in the middle age-wise for Georgia breweries.  We chat about choosing to locate in Hampton, the discovery that helped them develop their identity, collaboration brewing, and more.  For our Truck and Tap Beers of the Week the guys from Jailhouse brought some of their Alibi Grit Ale, a light and refreshing beer with Mosaic hops, and Conjugal Visit, their amazingly balanced but bold Imperial Red Ale.  We also call across the pond and speak with Niall Walsh, Managing Director of Galway Bay Brewery in Galway City, Ireland, and Will Avery, who is leaving Georgia’s Burnt Hickory Brewery to become the Head Brewer at Galway Bay this week.  Niall talks about the beer scene in Ireland, their views on American beer, challenges that brewers in Ireland face (many similar to what we face here in the US), and why he chose to hire an American brewer to join his team.

The show is LIVE at 1:00 PM every Saturday on Atlanta’s AM 920 The Answer, streaming online or via iHeartRadio, or catch us on-demand on our website, Soundcloud, or your favorite podcasting app.  Cheers!
