Beer events are all over the place this weekend. Fortunately, Friday’s snowpocalypse 2016 should not affect most of them!

It’s a busy beer weekend in Georgia. Southern Sky Brewing is opening up its tasting room; Red Hare unveils its root beer in cans. And of course a couple little things like Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting and Nuit Belge. We will be out and about at ACAT and Nuit Belge. If you see one of us, make sure you stop by, say hi and grab a couple stickers!

And, of course, our show. We talked about session beers this week with Kevin Ryan, CEO and founder of Savannah’s Service Brewing Company. We spoke about how his current profession was shaped by his military career and the growing beer scene down in Savannah.

Next, Hunter Lainhart from Crossfit 404 talks about maintaining your weight while still being able to drink beer. A trainer and former swimmer for the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs), we talk about adding different things to your diet to ensure that you don’t have to take away your enjoyment of craft beer drinking. Unfortunately, Hunter did not bring any tractor tires for Tim and Aaron to throw around.

The news of the week contains news about Alabama’s decision to push forward a bill to allow breweries to sell on-site. This would leave Georgia as the only state that does not allow this.

Aaron’s major life decision? Homebrewing. Aaron and his dad attended a homebrewing class last weekend at Hop City Midtown, and will be brewing their own beers soon!
